Professor Andrea J Robinson
Andrea completed her PhD degree at Monash University in 1993 under the supervision of Professor Roger Brown. The work focused on the total synthesis of fungal pigments, notably the isoprenoid benzoquinone Tridentoquinone. She then joined the DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. There she worked in Discovery teams within the cardiovascular and cancer groups and in the Kilo Processing group. In 1996 she was appointed to a teaching and research academic position in the School of Chemistry at Monash University. She is currently the Associate Dean Research for the Faculty of Science.
